Rebuild Trust. Deepen Connection.

When the same arguments repeat and you feel more like roommates than partners, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can help you rediscover the closeness you're longing for.

When Marriage Feels Hard

Even Strong Relationships Face Seasons of Struggle

Maybe you feel like you're having the same argument over and over, with no real resolution.

Perhaps you've drifted apart — sharing a home and a life, but feeling emotionally disconnected.

You might be navigating a betrayal, a major life change, or simply the slow erosion of intimacy that happens when life gets busy.

At Graceway Wellness, we help couples pause the cycle of conflict and reconnect with the bond that brought them together — through practical, compassionate guidance grounded in emotional safety and mutual understanding.

What is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)?

A Research-Backed Approach to Healing Relationships

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is one of the most effective, evidence-based approaches for helping couples repair and strengthen their bond.

Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, EFT focuses on identifying the emotional needs and fears driving disconnection — and learning to reach for one another with empathy instead of frustration.

Rather than simply teaching communication techniques, EFT helps you understand the deeper patterns at play:

- Why the same conflicts keep repeating

- What emotional needs are going unmet

- How fear and hurt show up as anger or withdrawal

- How to rebuild trust and emotional safety

EFT doesn't just manage conflict — it transforms how you connect.

How EFT Therapy Helps

Breaking the Cycle, Rebuilding the Bond

Through the structured, step-by-step framework of EFT, our therapist, Sara, guides couples to:

- De-escalate conflict and reduce tension
- Recognize and break recurring negative patterns
- Communicate needs clearly and without defensiveness
- Rebuild emotional safety and trust
- Deepen intimacy, empathy, and partnership
- Foster lasting closeness that endures through life's challenges

You'll move from blame and defensiveness to curiosity and compassion — for each other and for the relationship you're rebuilding together.
